Tasting Notes: Old is New Barley Wine

?OLD IS NEW Barley Wine TASTING NOTES?

Our OLD IS NEW is an American Barley Wine, that means that we have given a little more emphasis to hops than in the English version of the style. This way we add some resinous and citrus notes (thanks to the Cascade hop variety) to the flavours of bread, toffee, biscuit or nuts that come from the selection of malts. The result is a good balance of bitterness / sweetness and delicious complexity. A hearty beer of 8% ABV. A deep colour, with a rich body and to enjoy without hurry.

We also made two very special versions of this beer only available in kegs. The first one we have matured with vanilla and Bourbon, and the second with Habanero chilis.

We can’t wait to tap these kegs!!!

?OLD IS NEW Barley Wine NOTA DE CATA? Nuestra OLD IS NEW es una American Barley Wine, eso quiere decir que le hemos dado un poco más de énfasis al lúpulo que en la versión inglesa del estilo. Así añadimos unas notas resinosas y cítricas (gracias a la variedad de lúpulo Cascade) a los sabores de pan, toffe, galleta o frutos secos que vienen de la selección de maltas. El resultado es un buen equilibrio de amargor/dulzor y una complejidad deliciosa. Una cerveza cálida de 8% alc.col., de un color profundo, con un cuerpo rico y para disfrutar sin ninguna prisa. – – Por último deciros que guardamos dos versiones muy especiales de esta cerveza envasadas solo en barril para cuando la situación actual haya mejorado y podamos celebrarlo en nuestro brewhouse.
